item 02: Archaeotherium [ep]

 

The second chapter in the ongoing A Virtual Memory audio-visual art project, this brief album, released in the spring of 2017, was the first to focus more specifically on themes of geological or “deep” time. The accompanying artwork was intended to reflect this. Musically, it is comprised of ambient soundscapes constructed from solo piano interludes performed by Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails for the “Fragility v1.0” television special in 1999.
