A collection of widely diverse pieces photographed from 2008 to 2020 in various locations around Europe and North America. The focus of these works centers on the expression of a “background world” behind the seemingly mundane or ordinary with an emphasis on the exploration of how a sense of “life” can be found in the inanimate expression of living things. Specifically, these pieces attempt to portray a glimpse of a certain moment in time through how light, shadow, and weathering interact with an immobile subject.
