An early schematic design study done in 2015, this piece was made as part of the greater collaborative design process orchestrated by architect Travis Price for the Procession of the Souls memorial built later that year in Swinford, County Mayo, Ireland. This particular study (a rumination on the Great Famine of 1845 to 1852) was created towards the end of the conceptual phase when we were working towards the formation of a fully realized design parti upon which to build out the actual form and structure of the memorial both physically and poetically.
