An early schematic design study done in 2014 in collaboration with Emily O'Loughlin, this is a two-part sculptural piece meant to convey the notion of ultimate love as expressed through an architectural and conceptual deconstruction of Michelangelo’s “The Creation of Adam”. Emily was in charge of sculpting “Adam’s hand” while I sculpted “the hand of God”. This was to serve as the early generative basis for our Nature in Tension architectural design proposal for a spiritual retreat in the Shenandoah Valley done later that same year.
