Dun Briste

 

An early schematic design study done in 2014, this piece was created to serve as the conceptual basis of an architectural proposal for an addiction rehabilitation center in County Mayo, Ireland, located near the Dun Briste sea stack. It is a direct, three-dimensional interpretation of the collage piece of the same name done the very same year. Therefore it can be seen as an evolution of the ideas expressed in that particular work of the transformative power of rehabilitation in overcoming addiction, bringing them one step closer to informing the design of a building.
